Transit provides transportation services for all residents of Grant
County regardless of race, color, sex, religion, disability or national
origin .
Bus
Services:
Door
to door service is available Monday through Friday from 8 A.M. to
5 P.M. On a flex route or dial-a-ride schedule. Service is provided
throughout Grant County and to regional service centers when appropriate.
Buses are equipped with a lift for wheel chair accessibility if
needed. Fare is based on destination. Persons wishing to access
the bus may do so by calling the driver directly at a toll free
number 1-500-435-4797.
Volunteer
Driver Service :
The
ALPHA TRANSIT Volunteer Driver Program is made possible by friends
and neighbors who are willing to contribute their time and effort
toward service for Grant County residents. Passengers are to
make reservations directly with a volunteer driver from their
immediate area whenever possible. Passengers are to notify the
driver of any special needs (wheelchair assistance, oxygen tanks,
etc.) when he/she contacts the driver. Payment for service must
be made to the driver at the time of pickup. Fares are based

Subsidized
Transportation for Seniors:
The
Grant County Committee on Aging serves in an advisory capacity to
Grant County Social Services, who provide funding for senior transportation.
All persons 60 years and older are eligible for this subsidy. Services
allow seniors to remain independent and able to get to medical appointments,
do their own shopping and to participate in senior activities. Subsidized
amounts are dependent upon the purpose of travel. Medical Appointments
are subsidized at 65% while trips for other purposes are subsidized
at 30%. Persons wishing to access the senior subsidized program
must first purchase tickets provided by Grant County Social Services.
