*New Open Meeting Law changes:

  • Based on Statute changes to Minnesota Statutes, Section 13D.02 Open Meeting Laws that took effect July 1,  2025 the Grant County Board  of commissioners may have members participating in board meetings via interactive technology. 
  • In accordance with that change in statute, if we do have interactive technology participation from a board member the public present at the regular meeting must be able to see and hear all discussion, testimony, and votes. 
  • If we have remote participation all votes will be roll call and will be recorded in the written minutes.

Grant County is divided into 5 districts with one commissioner from each district. Each commissioner is elected by the people in their district, and serves a 4-year term.
